Holding Our Community Close
The past several days have been heartbreaking for Bend. Our community has experienced an unimaginable tragedy, and like so many of our friends and neighbors, we are struggling to find the right words.
Our hearts are with the families whose lives have been forever changed, with those who are grieving, and with the students, teachers, first responders, and community members navigating the difficult days ahead.
In moments like these, we are reminded just how precious life is, how much our families and friends mean to us, and how deeply connected we are as a community.
We also find ourselves thinking of the wisdom of Mr. Rogers, who reminded us to "look for the helpers." And even in the midst of so much sadness, we see them everywhere. In the first responders who ran toward danger, the educators caring for our children, the neighbors checking on one another, and the countless people quietly finding ways to offer comfort and support.
That is the Bend we know and love.
For more than four decades, Saxon's has had the privilege of being part of this incredible community. We've celebrated life's happiest moments alongside generations of families, and today, we stand beside those same families in their sorrow.
There is no easy path through grief, and healing will take time. But we believe in the strength, compassion, and generosity of this community. We believe in showing up for one another, especially when it matters most.
To everyone who is hurting, please know that you are not alone. We grieve with you, we stand with you, and we hold you close in our hearts.
With love,
The Saxon's Family ❤️
