Real Love: Eli + Carmen
There’s something pretty special about getting to be a small part of a really big moment.
Eli and Carmen came into Saxon’s and looked at engagement rings together, so Carmen may have had a few suspicions about what was coming someday. What she didn’t know was when, where, or just how much thought Eli was putting into making the moment perfect.
And he absolutely nailed it.
Eli planned a surprise proposal in the Ochoco Mountains, surrounded by one of those incredible Central Oregon views that hardly looks real. Before Carmen arrived, he had created a beautiful little picnic overlooking the landscape, complete with flowers, a cozy blanket and a celebratory bottle waiting for them.
And because a moment like this deserves to be remembered, Eli had one more surprise planned: a photographer was there to quietly capture the whole thing.
So when he dropped to one knee, Carmen’s reaction was completely real—and now they have the photographs to prove it.
For us, this is the best part of what we do. Yes, we love diamonds. We love beautiful jewelry. But we especially love knowing where those pieces go when they leave our store.
An engagement ring becomes part of a story. It remembers the view, the nerves, the surprise, the person on one knee and the moment someone says yes.
